1.
Based on your reflections, and on a scale of 1 to 10 (ten being
optimal wellbeing), where do you rate your A-physical wellbeing, B-spiritual
well-being, C-psychological well-being? Why?
A.
I would rate my physical well-being at a 8 or 9 I exercise but not
regularly (a couple time a week) and I eat healthy for the most part.
B.
I would rate my spiritual well-being at about a 5 or a 6. It’s
something I have been working on.
C.
My psychological well-being would be 5. That is something I am
also working on. I suffer from depression and have a hard time letting things
go. I have been learning new ways to handle my depression and try and always
look at the bright side of life.
2.
Develop a goal for yourself in each area (physical, spiritual,
psychological).
A.
My physical goal is to be more active throughout the week, maybe
not exercise per say but go for walks and just enjoy being active.
B.
My spiritual goal is to put down my phone and other electronic
equipment and to spend more time with family and friends.
C.
My psychological goal is to learn new relaxation techniques and to
always wake up with positive thoughts.
3.
What activities or exercise can you implement in your life to
assist in moving toward each goal?
Things I can do are take
family walks along with reflection walks. Both can help me in all aspects. I
need to organize my time better, becoming more organized can help my psychological
wellbeing as I won’t feel as flustered or stressed.
Hello Alexandra,
ReplyDeleteWe are all a work in progress, but realizing what we need improvement on helps to bring us closer to getting to know ourselves better. I can relate, as I too have suffered with depression. I do not think depression ever fully goes away, but there are ways to better deal with it. Setting goals for yourself is a great start. Living a more active and healthy lifestyle really raises the endorphins and puts you in a state of euphoria. I think you have set some really great goals!
Alexandra, I feel like the most important step is identifying where we could use some help and making a plan to achieve those goals. It seems like that is exactly what you are doing. Depression can be hard, and as you know can have an effect on every other aspect in your life. You have some good plans in place and know what you need to do, and I really think that this class will help you achieve your goals. Best of luck to you!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are really looking at yourself and seeing where you need improvement and from there the real work begins. Learning to let go is the name of my blog because that is where I have always had the most problems, I just did not know how to let go; but everyday is a new day and I am learning to do so. I do not know why I did not think of going for walks, I love walking and should do that more often. I love walking around and being one with nature, it makes me feel peaceful. Thanks for reminding me of that, so from now on a walk a day it is.
ReplyDeleteLooks like I need to get on your level. I have a hard time finding the time to workout during the week mostly because of school and work. If I only worked I feel like it would be easier. Sounds like you are pretty organized though. Good luck to you and look forward to reading your posts.
